Stretching Out of Your Comfort Zone (and into 2020)
This is a slightly longer blog friends!
It’s two weeks before the end of the year so that means the new year 2020 almost approaches us. It’s a great time to reflect on the year that’s gone, but more on that in another blog. Meanwhile, on comfort zone…..
Bad habits are like a comfortable bed, easy to get into, but hard to get out of.
Adopt the habit of keeping your intellect busy and stretched, pondering over useful stuff beyond your daily thoughts. Go beyond your routine. Stretch yourself out of your comfort zone (a physical stretch is also good).
Make good habits more automatic. As soon as you open your eyes in the morning, check your thoughts….. Before you even think, think what you’re thinking. It’s the mind’s job to think so don’t stop it from doing so but instead be in control of what it does.
Pay attention and start with the most powerful and positive thought you can think of. Then keep hold of that thought, don’t let it slip away (it will try to) for the first few minutes of your morning.
Self-mastery it to think outside of your comfort zone, to have the thoughts you want to have, and to have habits you are proud of.
So, keep what’s important and useful to you visible in your mind and visible around you. If it’s out of site, it’s out of mind and out of habit... and it won't follow you into 2020.
Think, see and you shall achieve.
